"Exchange took way longer than expected"
I just needed to exchange for a different size, but it ended up taking forever. I felt like I kept getting passed around without anyone really taking care of it, and by the time it was finally sorted out, I was frustrated.

I reached out thinking it’d be a quick fix. Nope. One person sent me to another, then another. Same questions again. Still nothing actually fixed. Just felt like I was getting bounced around the whole time.

I do like some of the jeans from ae, and the styles are cute for the price. But I don’t always feel great buying from them. I wish there was clearer info about how the workers are treated and where the materials actually come from. Their sustainability stuff feels a little vague, kind of like more of a marketing thing than anything. I mean, compared to some other brands, it’s... I don’t know. I just wish they were more upfront about the real impact.

"Tracking Could Be Much Clearer"
I placed my order and was expecting the tracking to give me a better idea of what was going on, but it barely updated at all. When I reached out, I still didn’t get a clear answer or any real instructions on what to do next. I just wish the updates and guidance were more straightforward.

My package ended up arriving late, and the wait was frustrating. From the tone of the updates, I kind of assumed it was going to show up sooner, so it was disappointing when it didn’t.

"Decent app, but it can get a little glitchy"
I use the American Eagle app every now and then, or maybe more often lately, I can’t remember when I started using it regularly. It’s fine for browsing, and the pictures usually load well. Checkout is where it gets annoying though. It was slow one time, and I think it froze on me either last week or the week before. Not the worst app or anything, I just wish it ran a bit smoother.

"Save your time, the sales aren’t what they seem"
I’d save your time if you’re clicking through sales on ae.com expecting a great deal. Almost every time I try, the price changes, the items I actually like are excluded, or the coupon won’t apply to anything in my cart. Then by checkout, the total is somehow higher than I expected. It really feels like the promos are just there to pull you in, which is frustrating

"Order was mostly wrong"
Ordered three things from American Eagle and only one showed up right. Got jeans in the wrong size and a shirt that wasn’t even the one I picked. Tried dealing with customer service, but took forever and just made it more frustrating. Not sure how an order gets messed up that badly.

"Kind of wish there was more variety"
I still check ae.com every now and then because I’ve found decent basics there before, and sometimes the colors or fits are cute enough to make me browse for a while. But after scrolling through a bunch of pages, I started feeling like I was looking at the same few pieces again and again. A lot of the styles seem like they’ve barely changed, just swapped into different colors or slightly different versions. I was hoping to find something that felt a little fresher, but most of it was basic and stuff I feel like I’ve already seen a million times.

I ordered a pair of jeans because the site said they were in stock, then a few days later the order got canceled. Kind of frustrating, because if something isn’t actually available, why show it like it is? I was already thinking about when I’d wear them, and then suddenly, nope.

"Still wish they had more sizes"
I gave ae.com another shot and ordered some jeans and a couple tops, but like i said, the sizing situation is still really frustrating. They’ll say something is inclusive, and then the size I actually need is either sold out or not even offered in that style.
The fit is also so inconsistent. Like i said, I can order the same size in two different pairs of jeans and one is way too tight while the other is huge. It makes online shopping feel like a total guessing game.
I just wish they made the same cute stuff in all sizes instead of only offering a few basic options. Like i said, it feels like they want the credit for being inclusive, but they don’t make it easy for people to actually shop.

I did get my refund in the end, so everything worked out. It just took a bit longer than I was expecting. Customer service was helpful enough, but I think it would’ve been better if the timeline had been a little clearer from the start.

I was ready to place my order, but the checkout process turned into such a hassle. It kept glitching right when I was trying to pay, and then my cart randomly emptied not once, but twice, which was really annoying because I had to go back and add everything again. I even tried using different cards thinking maybe the issue was on my end, but nothing worked. After spending more time on it than I should have, I finally just gave up
